The Maybach EQS SUV is a revolutionary electric vehicle from Mercedes’ prestigious brand, offering unparalleled levels of luxury.
Introducing the latest addition to Mercedes’ luxury division, the Maybach EQS SUV – an electric vehicle that exudes opulence and extravagance. While the standard Mercedes EQS is already luxurious, the Maybach EQS SUV takes it up a notch. Supercar Blondie’s Sergi Galiano had the pleasure of exploring this lavish SUV.
Take a closer look at the Audi Aicon concept car – it’s unlike any other as it doesn’t come with a steering wheel or pedals. Sergi was impressed by the amount of chrome present in the Maybach EQS SUV. The massive grille has 3D-effect chrome pinstripes and there’s a shiny trim strip that subtly features the Maybach branding. The small Maybach logos are quite noticeable on the blanked-off side vents.
The front of the Maybach EQS SUV is adorned with a chrome splitter, while its sides are fitted with shiny 22-inch mirror-polished rims and illuminated side skirts. Similar to the Maybach GLS, this SUV also features chrome trim around the windows and on the pillars between the front and rear doors, which creates an illusion of elongation. The rear pillar is adorned with another Maybach logo, complemented by more chrome on the lower fender. Moreover, the Maybach EQS SUV boasts hand-painted pinstripes in five different colors, in line with the brand’s signature style.
The Maybach EQS SUV shares many features with the standard Mercedes EQS SUV, such as the steering wheel and Hyperscreen infotainment system, but it also boasts some exclusive features. One of these is new display screens that include a ‘Discreet’ mode, which minimizes the number of menus and icons on the screen. Another unique feature is the Hyperscreen’s ability to change colors to match the mood lighting. The Maybach EQS SUV also has stainless-steel pedals and Maybach logos embroidered into the headrests. As you enter the vehicle, the emblem is projected onto the floor, adding an extra touch of luxury.
The real fun in the Maybach EQS SUV lies in its backseat. Although the standard rear seats come equipped with ventilation and massaging functions, upgrading to First Class provides an even more luxurious experience. The upgrade includes two distinct lounge chairs separated by a spacious center console. The back also boasts numerous high-tech features like fast-charging phone docks and HDMI ports that link to two 12-inch infotainment screens attached to the back of the front seats.
The Hyperscreen infotainment upfront is connected to these displays, enabling you to adjust the climate control and set your sat nav destination without having to communicate with your driver. The Maybach features a fridge between the seats to keep your champagne chilled, as well as insulated cup holders and a set of silver-plated champagne flutes. Let’s move on to the car’s engine performance now.
The Maybach EQS SUV boasts impressive power, surpassing the Mercedes EQS SUV 580 in terms of strength. With two electric motors working in tandem, the luxury SUV can generate a whopping 658 horsepower and 698 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to go from 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 4.4 seconds. While the exact mileage has yet to be confirmed, sources suggest that the Maybach EQS SUV can cover a distance of around 600 kilometers (373 miles) on a single charge. Although the price tag is currently unknown, it’s speculated that the SUV will be priced above $200,000.
