It is currently unclear if the R35-generation GT-R will be discontinued, as Nissan has not provided any official statement on the matter.
The 2022 GT-R’s order books have been officially closed in Japan by Nissan.
In 2022, Nissan released two versions of the GT-R in Japan: the T-spec and Nismo models. These were briefly sold in Australia before being discontinued. However, in the United States, the GT-R Premium and GT-R Nismo continued to be available as 2021 models.
The Japanese website for the 2022 GT-R from Nissan has been recently updated, stating that sales have come to a halt due to the planned sales volume being reached because of an overwhelming number of orders.
